From book cover design, book interior design, to book illustrations, I would love to help bring your story to life.
As an artist and graphic designer, my approach to book design merges illustration and artistry with modern sensibilities. I strive to create books that are not only visually engaging but may feel captivating in the hands of readers – an experience that resonates both visually and emotionally.
I have a soft spot for cookbooks, food and wine, architecture, art and design, home and gardening, and storytelling. But no matter the genre, I welcome collaboration with writers who resonate with my work and share a vision to create something beautiful together.
Here are a few ways we can collaborate on your publication.
Book Cover Design
Your book cover is the first chance to share your story with the world – I would love to help you make it unforgettable. I believe a good book cover will stop someone in their tracks, spark curiosity, and invite them to discover more. When designed well, it has the power to connect with the right readers and gain the recognition it deserves. But more importantly, your book cover should be something you’re proud to unbox, hold in your hands, and share with the world.
Book Interior Design
Just as your book cover draws readers in, the interior of your book should keep them engaged and immersed in your world. I believe good book interior design is about balance – ensuring layouts flow seamlessly, typography is easy to read, and the overall design enhances your storytelling. Whether it’s paragraphs spaced precisely, or beautifully-designed chapter breaks, I want you to feel proud of the interior as you do the cover.
Book Illustrations
When you turn the pages of a book, the visuals accompanying your text have the power to bring your story to life, capturing emotion, moments, and worlds in a way words alone can’t. These illustrations are the heart of your story. I specialize in custom, hand-drawn illustrations, that blend natural colors, forms, and textures to create simple yet engaging experiences.
Getting Started
Please inquire first for a quote. This helps me understand your project’s scope and provides an accurate estimate. Once we agree on the budget, a small retainer is required to secure our start date.
Smaller and larger projects may require different approaches, such as quick forms or calls to gather details. I’m flexible with communication and always prioritize clarity.
Once we’re ready to begin, we’ll start with concept sketches and ideas. Your feedback will guide us toward a finalized direction, and from there, I’ll begin developing the artwork. I work iteratively with you, sharing updates and incorporating feedback until you’re fully satisfied. When the designs are complete, everything will be packaged and delivered in the necessary formats.
If you’re interested in getting started, I would love to hear from you! Please email [email protected] and I will get back to you shortly (usually within 3 business days).
